Brainwave Charity

The resulting work of art of twelve famous artists and children with cerebral palsy went under the hammer, and the proceeds were donated to help families with children with cerebral palsy to the centres that Gracious Heart Foundation supports: The Children’s Trust and Brainwave.

The charity auction took place in Christie’s on 21st of March 2018

Gracious Heart Charity Foundation works with children affected by cerebral palsy and their families, offering support by financing treatments, aiding in buying special equipment and offering other help that the family may need. Despite the fact that the government offers a lot of support, many families do not have access to the right amount of rehabilitation treatments and spend years on waiting lists.

The foundation provides the families that do not have the financial means the opportunity to undergo these treatments without the long waiting list, as well as additional equipment that the child may need to have a better quality of life.

Creative therapy

Aside from financial help, Gracious Heart is working on raising awareness about Cerebral Palsy and organising projects that involve the child’s artistic and creative side, therefore providing them with a medium to express themselves and socialise with other people.

Gracious Heart Foundation partnered with well-known artists, both acclaimed professionals and young masters who worked for several days with children. The main objective was that both artists and children create something together, even the colours of artworks were picked with the involvement of both the artist and the child. At the end of the process the child could use their creativity and the artist gained a lifetime experience making a difference in the child’s life.
