Technological art by portrait artist Nick Gentry

In each era, art and technology have maintained unequal relationships although a greater or lesser degree of contact between the two has always been inevitable.

Today, art has no qualms about making use of any tool that contemporary science or technology has developed, both because of the possibilities that material and conceptual ones imply. Currently, this relationship is presented to us in a palpable and evident way in a great diversity of manifestations. There are various positions around the use of new technologies in contemporary artistic practice, their uses and, also, their abuses.

This collective exhibition seeks to show the link between art and technology and the particular position of each of the participating artists in this regard.

The participating artists are: Nick Gentry (England), Benjamin Dittrich, Annett Zinsmeister, Ewerdt Hilgemann (Germany), Nicole Cohen, Anne Spalter, Shane Hope, Joshua Citarella (USA), Marialejandra Lozano (Peru).
